Each Christmas season this european castle, ruins and villages (more off stage to the right) appear. There are no soldiers or train until Christmas Eve, when all magically appear and engage in a frenzy of activity preparing for the magical day that follows.

The soldiers install a new structure or section of wall and on Christmas morning, the children and adults alike try to find it. After more than thirty years and additions this is a fun hunt, occupying several minutes.

Two more runs of track accupy the foreground and a loop and sidings ring the christmas tree off stage at far right. I don't have any good photos of those yet.

The entire diorama is about six feet deep and eighteen feet in width.
